Some things really are better off being disposable. CRH Medical makes and sells medical devices, most notably its single-use, disposable CRH O'Regan hemorrhoid banding system. The system, which uses the rubber band ligation method, is meant to prevent cross-contamination in patients. Its products are distributed through a network of about 100 partnering physician practices (representing about 300 doctors) in North America (primarily in the US). The company also provides marketing, training, and patient relations support to its partnering physicians. The CRH O'Regan system is also sold in select international markets.
